I'm hesitant in adding flour to the list because it is refined. Yet let's face it, most everyone uses flour, usually bleached flour; it is a storage item at the Home Storage Centers. Just know that personally I think it should be used rather sparingly because it is so low in fiber, and bleached. (Instead suggest you choose unbleached flour when needing some white flour for a recipe, but that is a choice every family will need to make according to their own research).  Also, I want to provide some recipes that white flour can be used for if that happens to be what you store or have on hand.

NOTE: if a recipe on this site states "unbleached flour", you

can certainly use white all-purpose (bleached) flour instead.
