No Yeast Wheat Bread

The milk in this recipe can be reconstituted dry milk.....

​

2 c. milk soured with 2 T. vinegar, let sit 5 minutes, then add:

1/4 c. olive oil

2 T. honey

​

3 c. whole wheat flour

1 and 1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda

3/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375°.  While waiting for the milk/vinegar, mix the dry ingredients together: grease and flour loaf pan.  And in a large bowl: mix the dry ingredients together thoroughly.

​

When the 5 minutes are up, add the soured milk to the dry mixture, stir well, but DO NOT over stir.

Put batter into prepared loaf pan, bake 40 to 45 minutes until toothpick in center comes out clean. 

Remove bread from oven, let sit 10 minutes, remove from pan to a cooling rack.
