Janet's Applesauce made from dried apples
After you do this a time or two, you'll know more of how much dried apples to use to get the
applesauce you desire. If not packing the 1 cup of dried apples, you may find the measure is
nearer 2 cups of more loosely measured apples.....

Put 1 cup packed dried apples (about 2 ounces) and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan.
Cover, bring to a boil, turn off the heat and let the dried apples soak, covered, overnight.
In the morning: simmer on low, covered until very soft, **then mash with a potato masher,
then test/taste to see if you want to add any more water?

**Optional: can add part or all of one pouch instant dry apple cider drink to the cooked
mix before mashing: how much used will depend upon sweetness/taste desired.
