Lentils n’ Egg ..... topped with crumbled bacon

​

**Do not add any salt to lentils until after cooked**

​

1/3 c. Green or brown lentils

1 c. Water

1 T. Dried chopped onion

1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder

​

In small saucepan that has a tight lid: bring all to boiling, cover with tight lid, turn to lowest simmer. Cook 25 to 35 minutes, until tender.

​

Put up to half of the cooked lentil mixture into a buttered or oiled fry pan (could use bacon grease), heating on medium. Top with raw egg, cover, cook until egg is done to preference. Slide onto plate or pasta dish, can top with crumbled bacon.
