I so wish that the Home Storage Center offered popcorn in #10 cans!! Popcorn can be ground into cornmeal. At one time, we had enough room where we lived to plant corn for popcorn; we let it dry out on the stalks, then put it in paper bags to dry out further; shucked it, took off kernels: popped some of the best popcorn ever!! We store popcorn and grind it for cornmeal. Popcorn is a favorite snack for a great many people. Personally, I look for brands that are non-gmo. Also, I realize that it would be wise to store a few #10 cans of de-germinated cornmeal for shelf life, taste, convenience from an emergency angle. I found some at Honeyville dot com online with a storage life of 10 to 15 years. They ship for a reasonable price of under $10.
