Thyme Rice Mix

This tastes best using part or all broth when cooking.

If using water, could add a teaspoon of bouillon....

6 c. long grain white rice

1/2 c. dried parsley flakes

2 to 3 T. dried minced onions

2 to 3 tsp. dried garlic bits

2 tsp. dried thyme

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. 

Divide evenly into 6 snack zip-locs (about 1 cup each).

Put these baggies into a gallon zip loc, label and seal.

To make: put one baggie of dry rice mix into a saucepan, 

add 2 cups of water or part broth/part water or all broth.

Add 1 to 2 T. butter.  Bring all to boiling, cover, turn heat

down to simmer. Cook 14 minutes, turn off heat but let 

covered pan sit for 10 minutes. Remove lid and fluff rice

with a fork. Ready to eat.
