Easy tomato soup recipes, one is a creamy tomato soup.....
Also a recipe that is a substitute for condensed tomato soup.....

Tomato Soup from dry tomato powder
1 T. tomato powder
1 T. dry milk powder
pinch baking soda
1/2 to 1 tsp. sugar
couple of pinches each: onion and garlic granules
salt and pepper to taste

1 to 1 and 1/2 c. boiling water (depends upon the
intensity/acidity of the tomato powder, so start with
a cup of boiling water and add more if needed)

Mix the dry ingredients in a mug. Add boiling
water and stir thoroughly. Salt/pepper to taste.

Tomato Soup (from canned tomato sauce)
​
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. onion granules
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic granules
2 T. unbleached flour or 1 T. cornstarch
3 T. nonfat dry milk powder
up to 1 T. brown sugar or sugar (optional, I personally don't add this)

1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 and 1/2 c. water

2 T. butter (optional)
sea salt and pepper

In saucepan: mix dry ingredients first. Then using a wire whip, add tomato sauce and water. Heat on medium until lightly thickened, stirring constantly. Add butter, salt, pepper to taste.

Tomato Soup
Another tomato soup with added onion and garlic....
​
1 can (14.5 oz.) crushed tomatoes
2 T. butter
1/4 c. chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
3 T. unbleached flour
1 tsp. chicken bouillon granules
herbs/spices to taste, such as basil and oregano (optional)
up to 3 c. water

Place crushed tomatoes in a blender; cover and process until pureed.
In a saucepan: heat butter over medium-high heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove from the heat; stir in flour until smooth. Put back on heat; cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in broth. Add pureed tomatoes; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover, simmer 15 or so minutes to allow flavors to blend.

If desired, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese or grated sharp cheddar cheese.

Creamy Tomato Soup
2 cans tomato sauce, 1/8 tsp. baking soda, up to 1/4 tsp. garlic granules, up to 1/4 tsp. onion granules, 1 can evaporated milk, pepper to taste, basil (optional).

Heat tomato sauce, baking soda, garlic and onion granules in a saucepan over medium heat until very hot but not boiling. Stir in evaporated milk, heating until hot and steamy. Do not let it boil. Remove from heat source. Season to taste with black pepper. Garnish with basil as an option.

A substitute for 1 can of CONDENSED tomato soup:
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 T. water
1 T. cornstarch
up to 1 T. brown sugar or sugar
1/2 tsp. sea salt
​
Simply mix these ingredients together with a whisk until very smooth. Use in place of one can
condensed tomato soup.
Or for easy tomato soup to eat: mix this recipe with an additional cup of water; heat/stir with a
wire whip until lightly thickened and bubbly. Add pepper if desired.
